Our Farming Practices

Our philosophy, which influences our farming practices, is rooted in our love and dedication to the ‘āina. We farm to nurture the health of our soil, plants, animals and people. Our pastures are thriving with carbon-rich organic matter.
We practice rotational grazing, which provides our cows with new areas of high-quality pasture daily while giving our fields rest, allowing regeneration. Cow manure is managed to be an integral part of this healthy pasture system. Cow manure is spread on our pasture to add nutrients that increase soil fertility and plant growth, resulting in carbon sequestration.
We believe that a well-managed, grass-based livestock system improves the fertility of the land, produces exceptionally high-quality milk and helps create a beautiful landscape that benefits our entire community.

We are using animals to enrich the soil’s organic matter and nutrient content, which subsequently improves the vitality, resilience and biodiversity of the land.

Our Philosophy

“At Cloverleaf Dairy, we believe that caring for the ‘āina is essential for a sustainable future. By practicing grass-based dairying and allowing our cows to thrive in their natural environment, we’re committed to providing fresh, local milk for Hawai‘i while enhancing the health of our community.”
