CloverleafDairy

OUR HISTORY

Our journey began in 1962 when Edward Boteilho Sr., his wife Josephine, and their seven children purchased Kukaiau Ranch Dairy with just 25 milking cows. In 1985, we relocated to North Kohala to establish Cloverleaf Dairy. Since then, we have been dedicated stewards of 900 acres in North Kohala, where lush green pastures, the Pacific Ocean shoreline, and Haleakalā merge seamlessly to create a breathtaking and serene landscape.

While Hawai‘i was once self-sufficient in milk production, the decline of local dairies over the years left Cloverleaf as a rare survivor. Our commitment to pasture-based dairy farming and the unwavering support of customers who value fresh, locally produced milk have been key to our success. We remain steadfast in our mission to provide Hawai‘i with sustainable, high-quality dairy products while caring for the land we call home. Today, Cloverleaf stands resilient as the last remaining commercial dairy with a mission to lead the revival for a sustainable, local dairy industry in Hawai‘i.”

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

Cloverleaf Dairy is stewarded by Mr. Ed Boteilho Jr. and Bahman Sadeghi, both multi-generational dairy farmers on a mission to help change the trajectory of Hawai‘i’s Dairy industry.
